  TechBoise was founded in 2007 to provide a place for local Boise techie's to meet and collaborate together. 

  To quote it's founder -
  "Now is an exciting time to live in Boise.  It's also an exciting time to be involved in Tech.  An axiom as true now as it has ever been, is that Boise is about two years behind the West Coast.  With a thriving entrepreneurial community in the Treasure Valley, much of it is focused on tech, I marvel at how little anyone inside or outside Boise knows about it.  Equally frustrating, despite valiant efforts by some keep deep in the fray, is that very little is changing in regard to the awareness or perception of Boise." 

  It was out of this need that TechBoise was created and has since served as a great place for the technical community in Boise to meet, collaborate, and share ideas.  This group is a great inspiration to us at Girls in Tech Boise and we hope to help TechBoise thrive as we continue to engage women in the field of technology.
